2010 Committee

Congratulations to David Law, who became the club’s new President at the recent A.G.M. Bert Grant has decided to stand down after many years service in the role. The full committee is at the bottom of the page

Club Events

Unfortunately, due to the recent spell of bad weather, the first two competitive events of 2010 had to be cancelled. The January Autotest and the Thistle Rally were both victims of the snow. The autotest will now run on the 21st February, organised by James Morrison (07919 347090) and starting at 11am at Elgin Academy. The Thistle Rally will now be moved to the 27th of March. Bert Grant (07901 752724) will still be organising the event which will start at 9pm from Mosstodloch Scout Hall. Regs are available for both from the events page.

Snowman Rally

Once again the club will be helping out on the Snowman Rally, the first round of the Hankook Scottish Rally Championship. The club will be marshalling the second stage of the event. Anyone who wants to volunteer their services should Contact Colin Christie (07786 017734).

Marshalling

The club will also marshalling at other events in the near future. Marshals will also be required for Ingliston, the Border Counties Rally and the Granite City Rally. Contact Colin Christie (07786 017734) for more details.

Speyside Stages Meeting

It may only be February but organising the Speyside Stages has already begun. The first organisers meeting will take place on the 25th of February, 8pm in the Cottar Hoose. If you think you have something you can contribute then feel free to come along.

New Regulations

The regulations for Autotest Class 5 have been changed to allow a greater variety of cars to compete. The class will now allow cars with a capacity of up to 1600cc to compete. The class was originally started to allow cheap and reasonably equal competition. Full regs are available form the events page.

Junior Trophy

New for 2010, the club has introduced a Junior Trophy. Younger members, who are under the age of 25 at the start of the year will be eligible for the award, which will use the club championship points system to decide the winner. Doug Shanks has generously offered to donate a trophy which will be presented to the winner at next years Dinner & Dance.
